From Receiving to Expressing

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been unraveling the patterns that made receiving feel unsafe, whether that meant parts of us believed support and loved had to be earned or proven, or possibly just didn’t exist in the world.

I’ve heard from many of you that this series felt slower to move through, possibly that it asked more of you, or that it touched something bigger than usual.

One person shared, “Wow, I finally did the last audio on shifting faith, and while I’ve always considered myself to have faith, I realized how much of it I had placed in the wrong people. I woke up this morning and realized there is no limit because I have so much potential, and I finally feel optimistic about my business again. I began making changes right away.”

I love hearing that because that’s exactly what this work does: it reclaims the faith we once outsourced, and roots it back where it belongs, inside of us.

And yet, once you’ve learned to receive, a new edge often appears, the edge of being seen in what you’ve received.

Some of you have shared some amazing stories of what you received while working through The Receiving Code: a trip abroad and stay in a luxury hotel, a dream relationship, multiple job offers, and perhaps most exciting of all, the inspiration to begin.

And yet, there’s something to notice here:

As you move to being able to receive, what’s happened is that you have created space internally to hold these dreams.

It doesn’t feel like a dream anymore.

This is now your life.

And yet, what happened to your old life that you had just a few weeks ago? There can be a loss of identity when the nervous system no longer needs to strive or compensate. The goal that once provided structure dissolves, and unless something new and life-giving moves into that space, the mind experiences it as “emptiness” instead of peace.

When you release survival patterns, you also lose the dopaminergic driver that used to say, “I’ll be okay when…” That driver created tension, purpose, and identity. Once the “when” is achieved, the system doesn’t yet know how to exist in contentment, and it can equate peace with “nothingness.”

The work now isn’t about adding goals, but about learning to feel full without striving.

Because how would it feel to truly learn that rest, curiosity, and joy are safe states to inhabit?

Receiving isn’t the end of healing; it’s the beginning of expression.

Once your nervous system feels safe to take in love, abundance, and support, you may begin to ask: what now?

Now that you are staying in this luxury hotel, can you fully appreciate it?

Now that you have the dream partner or the dream job, what does that mean about who you are?

Because sometimes we can manifest exactly what we want, and yet at times, it may seem a bit hollow. There can be this emptiness, this in-between space that coincides with a loss of identity. And maybe there’s even a small voice in the back of your head wondering: was it worth it?

Because if you’re not used to all of this space, all of this calm, all of this peace, you may just wonder what you’re doing there. And you may have spent months or even years to achieve this, and then suddenly, your goal just evaporated. What do you do next? With no immediate goal in mind, what do you in this empty world you suddenly find yourself in?

And the answer is almost always: You’re there to create exactly what you want.

You can learn to give not from depletion, but from overflow.

You can learn to speak, to share, to lead from the place that once hid.

My next series will build upon this idea, as we integrate our older identities who have fought so hard for us, and finally let them rest, as we begin to build up gratitude and appreciation, as we make friends with the unknown and learn to play with it joyfully, instead of wondering what’s around the next corner.

I’ll announce more soon.

Meanwhile, as you finish The Receiving Code, I would love to hear what’s shifting and changing for you. You may be interested in Re-Ignite Your Passions or Reclaiming Joy if you’re ready for something now.

If you’re not yet a member of the Lucid Hour, I invite you to join us, or you may be interested in purchasing The Receiving Code on its own. If you’re inspired to go deeper, I also offer custom hypnotic audios.

I don’t normally run sales, but this Black Friday, I will offer something special if you’ve been thinking about purchasing any audio series from the store. There will also be a special announcement because all of this is leading up to the moment that you’re ready to use your voice, trust your ideas, and share your vision with the world, as we move from safety to expression, as you can finally feel the confidence to create from your truth.

Whether you’ve followed along with The Receiving Code or you’re brand new here, this next chapter is for you.

Because once you’ve learned to receive life fully, your next step is to let life hear you back.
